La presentazione in occasione del prossimo Salone del Libro di Torino a metà maggio, ma la pubblicazione sarà nelle librerie dal 4 maggio, distribuito in diecimila copie da Mondadori al costo di 15 euro.
Un vero e proprio colpaccio, quello dell’ambiziosa casa editrice partenopea attiva anche nel sociale, di cui riferiscono organi di stampa.
“Guns – Contro le armi” è il titolo del libro di Stephen King. Un saggio di venticinque pagine pubblicato negli Stati Uniti nel 2013 che l’editore Rosario Esposito La Rossa ha scovato in rete. Un pamphlet scritto sull’onda emotiva della strage del 2012 nella scuola Sandy Hook Elementary School con ventisette morti di cui venti bambini. Un massacro che riaprì la discussione sulla facilità di comprare legalmente un’arma negli Stati Uniti.
“Sì, lo abbiamo letto in rete e abbiamo contattato l’agente di King con una mail. Sembrava impossibile – ha spiegato Esposito La Rossa – invece ci siamo riusciti. E alla fine il miracolo si è realizzato. Poi qui a Scampia il discorso contro le armi si rafforza e assume un significato particolare“. Quella Scampia teatro di una sanguinosa faida di camorra sembra essere così vicina ai temi trattati da King: “Sono situazioni molto diverse – spiega La Rossa – ma ci sono dei parallelismi. Nei due casi si parla di organizzazioni criminali, negli Stati Uniti con tratti distintivi dell’estrema destra. È bastato seguire quello che è successo negli ultimi giorni a Washington. Anche qui si parla di organizzazioni criminali. Il messaggio è lo stesso: le armi uccidono le persone. È un tema di impegno sociale che si ritrova in altre nostre pubblicazioni“.
Il segnale che si può fare editoria di qualità anche al Sud: “Il coraggio è spesso mancato all’editoria meridionale, per il resto il Nord non ha molto più di noi, giusto un’organizzazione migliore.
